Formally established in 1786, First Church is Pictou County’s oldest congregation, and plays a major role in the life and worship of Pictou County today. With the largest seating capacity in the region, First Church is often used by other churches for large weddings or funerals, and as the host church for most large community worship services.
We offer a welcoming congregation that is blessed with active and enthusiastic families. A mission-focused congregation in the past, we continue to look beyond ourselves with ministry in the community and worldwide.
We are located downtown on MacLean St., between James and Temperance Streets. Our century old building is breathtaking, and hopefully, you will find the friendliness of our congregation just what you’re looking for!
